A date at MacDonald's

Daniel wakes up just a normal Monday morning and sees a bird who flies outside his window. What Daniel doesn’t know is that this Monday wouldn’t be good, that’s what he thinks this rainy morning. It’s going to be really, really and really bad.

He always walks across a field when he goes to school. It takes 5 minutes. The other way takes 10 minutes. The church is right next to the road.

When Daniel and Ben arrive to school that good morning they don’t think of the consequences. They do like everyone else. They just do stupid things and afterwards they cry.
- The plan starts now. That’s what Daniel's twin-brother Ben says to him before they go to different classrooms.

Directly when Daniel goes into that classroom he always is spending his days in he sees her. That beautiful smile she has on her lips. That smile he wants to see day and night, always. That smile belongs to that girl Daniel and Ben will hurt later in this story.

Daniel never talks to Samantha, but this time he does. He marches to her chair and believe it or not, he asks her out on a date at MacDonald’s. The world's greatest junk-food-restaurant. And a really important piece of this story is that she says yes.

Ben and Samantha sit and talk with just a table between them. They have just order a cheeseburger to Samantha and a BigMac to Ben, who Samantha thinks is Daniel.

A second later Samantha's eyes look directly into Daniel's. The real Daniel who stands behind the door to all the toilets.

When Daniel and Ben come home that afternoon both of them have two black eyes and a red nose.

After that, Ben's and Daniel's favourite quote always is going to be: Sometimes it isn’t always funny to joke. Sometimes you have a black eye afterwards.
